What a week …

We’ve covered: How do you work, do you have project creep, lack of focus and understanding that audience. And more.

It still seems weird to start out with on a Sunday, but here goes. In Sunday Stressbusters, Relax With A Scrobbling, I went for an actual stress-free day with music. Did it work? Absolutely. Now if I can just get something to mask the noise of the piles being driven outside my window.

We are now into the second week of the Designers Working With Series. If you haven’t checked it out yet, perhaps you should. Monday dealt with Process, as in how do you work? Neil shared his power of process. Wednesday came in with choosing a designer, by asking the question, how should a company or individual in your profession be chosen? Friday closed it down by asking at what point should your profession be brought into a project?

A special thanks goes to those sharing expertise in the Designers Working With Series:

Neil, the author of Marketing Minute, came in on Tuesday with Misstep Number Three: Not focusing on a niche or specialty and was back on Thursday with Misstep Number Four: Not understanding your audience. Is he good, or what?

Jay, with Ask jay, was as great as usual when she came to creep rescue with Don’t Creep Me Out!

Note: Podcast Humpday was not forgotten. It was lurching around looking for a subject fit, but came away empty.

But Resourceful Friday was there, as usual. Bouncing off the subject for this week, I went with workflow and choosing designers.

Coming in next week is the final for the designer’s section of Designers Working With Series. And then the real fun begins, comparing how designers work, with how writers, photographers, marketeers … and more work.

Until the next
